Time spent together as a military couple can be challenging due to the sacrifices made to serve our country. This is a snapshot of one of those special moments together as a couple. They are all alone with the sun setting, the ocean in front of them, the birds singing and their one true love. The closeness of the couple represents the unity and intimacy between them. There is no distance far enough to break their devotion and commitment to one another symbolized by the engraving in the tree. The tree represents how their lives have flourished and continues to do so. The sun represents the light of God leading their way. Even though they cannot see what is far ahead of them, they trust in the one who holds their future.
This was a commissioned work of an original watercolor, pen & ink painting sized at 11 x 14 inches.
"Two people are better than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
