'Place of Joy' 3 Panel Original Acrylic Painting
'Place of Joy'
Remember your time at Ko'Olina with this beautiful abstraction acrylic painting by Hawaii artist Jan Tetsutani. This painting would go great in a living room, hallway, office or bedroom bringing back memories of relaxation, peace and joy!
This painting was inspired by the Ko'Olina waters. Some places just have rocks and to get in, you would have to jump. A sudden transition to the adventure that awaits you to the unknown. The artist is in a new season in her life resigning from her part-time job a few months ago to running her art business full-time. There is a joy that comes from doing what you feel like you are supposed to be doing at the right time. Interestingly, after naming the piece, the artist was reading an article about how the Hawaiian meaning of Ko'Olina means 'Place of Joy or 'Fulfillment of Joy.' She was amazed as how in this season in her life feeling so much joy, painting at Ko'Olina and both having the same meaning.
The artist tends to paint abstraction art (a representation of something) when things are beyond what you can see, beyond what you can understand and beyond what you can comprehend. Like the wind or emotion - you can't see it or fully understand it, but you can recognize that it is there.
